These are the terms for buying from and using schainart.com, run by Chris Schain Art LLC, a Florida company based in Miami (“I”, “me”). By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. Questions: chris@schainart.com.
The work
Every original is drawn by hand. Prints are archival reproductions made at the size of the original drawing, and sizes, paper and edition details are listed on each product page. Colors can look slightly different on different screens.
Copyright
I keep the copyright in every drawing and print, including commissions. Buying a print or an original gives you the physical piece to own, display, gift or resell. It doesn’t give you the right to copy it, reproduce it, or use the images for anything commercial. Please don’t copy or reuse images from this site without asking.
My drawings show athletes, drivers and teams as a fan and an artist. They’re not affiliated with or endorsed by any team, league, school, driver or brand shown.
Prices and payment
Prices are in U.S. dollars and can change. The price at checkout is the price you pay. Florida sales tax is added at checkout where it applies. Payment is by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal. If there’s a pricing mistake or a piece becomes unavailable, I may cancel the order and refund you in full.
Shipping
U.S. shipping is free. Open prints ship in 3 to 7 days, and signed editions within 1 to 2 weeks. Prints ship unframed. International shipping is available on request: email me for a quote.
Damaged prints
If a print arrives damaged, email me within 14 days with a photo of the print and the packaging, and I’ll send a replacement at no cost.
Returns
Open prints and signed limited editions can be returned within 30 days of delivery if they’re unframed and undamaged. Email me first. Return shipping is paid by you, and limited editions come back with their certificate of authenticity. I refund the price of the print once it arrives.
Originals and commissions are one of a kind and can’t be returned. Commissions are covered by the separate agreement we sign before I start.
Commissions
Commissions start with an inquiry and are confirmed by a written agreement covering price, deposit, timeline and approvals. If that agreement says something different from these terms, the agreement wins.
Using the site
Please don’t misuse the site: no scraping, no attempts to break or overload it, no fake orders.
Liability
I make the work and the site with care, but the site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, my responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Florida law
These terms are governed by Florida law. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
Changes
If these terms change, I’ll update them here and change the date at the top. The terms in place when you ordered apply to that order.
