I’m Chris Schain, and this is my studio’s website. Chris Schain Art LLC is a Florida company based in Miami. This page explains what information the site collects, why, and what I do with it. Questions: chris@schainart.com.
What I collect
- When you buy a print: your name, email, phone, billing and shipping address, and what you ordered. I need these to make, ship and support your order.
- Payment details: your card is handled by WooPayments (Stripe) or PayPal. I never see or store your full card number.
- When you write to me or start a commission: what you type into the form, and any reference photos you upload. I use them to answer you and, for a commission, to make the drawing.
- When you join Letters: your email address, kept in Mailchimp so I can send you new work and studio news.
- When you browse: basic visit data (pages viewed, device, rough location, how you found the site) through Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel. This tells me which work people look at, and lets me show my work to people on Facebook and Instagram.
Who else sees it
Only the services that run the shop, and only what each one needs:
- Print labs (Prints Giclée Shop, Lumaprints) get your name and shipping address to print and ship your order.
- Payment processors (WooPayments / Stripe, PayPal) handle your payment.
- Mailchimp holds the Letters list.
- Google and Meta receive the browsing data above.
- Bluehost hosts the site and its email.
I don’t sell your information, and I don’t share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Commission photos
Photos you send for a commission are used to make your drawing. I only show a finished commission publicly (on the site or social media) if you’ve said that’s OK.
Cookies
The site uses cookies to keep your cart working, to remember you’re signed in, and for Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel. You can block or clear cookies in your browser; the cart and checkout need them to work.
Emails
You’ll get order emails (confirmation, shipping) when you buy. You’ll only get Letters if you sign up, and every Letter has an unsubscribe link.
How long I keep it
Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Form messages and commission photos are kept while the work is open and for a reasonable time after. Letters subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe.
Your choices
Email chris@schainart.com and I’ll tell you what I have about you, correct it, or delete it (except records I’m required to keep, like past orders). You can unsubscribe from Letters at any time.
Children
The site isn’t meant for children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, I’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
