The story
The 1972 Miami Dolphins, the only team in NFL history to go wire to wire without a single loss. Drawn in graphite and colored pencil on cold press Arches paper over about 80 hours.
Don Shula’s stoic presence, Bob Griese under center, the bruising power of Larry Csonka and the No-Name Defense, together on one sheet. I grew up in Miami, so this team was part of the city’s story long after the season ended.
More than fifty years on, it’s still the season every NFL team gets measured against.
Every print is made at the drawing’s full size, 30 × 22 inches.
